As we reopen the Long Center and Lafayette Theater, we ask that you practice kindness and patience with guests, staff and volunteers. Your health is our top priority.
REOPENING POLICIES
Theater guests
If you feel sick, stay home.
If you are in a high-risk category, we encourage you to take extra safety precautions.
The theaters will be operating at reduced capacity.
For events, capacity is 100 (audience, staff, performers) (about 10%).
Masks are required to enter the building.
Wear your personal mask. Masks may be removed for drinking or eating in your theater seat.
Social distancing is mandatory.
Guests must maintain 6 feet.
Wash your hands frequently.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. The Long Center and Lafayette Theater have added hand sanitation stations in the lobbies. Use hand sanitizer, in addition to washing your hands.
Families that arrive together may be seated adjacent.
All guests must wash and sanitize hands upon arrival. Restroom use is restricted - only 1 family unit may use restroom at a time.
Advance online ticket purchases are encouraged.
Only pre-packaged foods and soft drinks will be available.
Sanitation
Frequent – and increased – cleaning and sanitation.
During events, restrooms will be monitored and cleaned, in addition to post-show cleaning.
High-contact surfaces wiped down and sanitized before, during and after events. Doors will remain open to limit contact.
Continuous cleaning of the auditorium, lobby, restroom, and concession surfaces as well as sanitize these areas after every event.
Post-show cleaning will include seat sanitization using a plant-based disinfectant, sprayed directly on seating surfaces.
Staff & volunteers
All staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks.
Staff and volunteers will monitor their health. Temperature self-check will be encouraged prior to starting a shift.
All staff and volunteers will receive updated training on cleaning and operational procedures.
Gloves will be available.
Physical distancing
Signage and floor markings will be utilized to maintain at least six feet.
Do not gather in the lobby area – go directly to your seats and remain seated.
Theater seating
To ensure proper distancing, sections and rows will be unavailable. Please sit in open areas only.
Leave at minimum three seats between your party and other guests
For movies, you will be released by rows. Seats at the back of the theater will be released first.
Exit and do not gather inside the lobby or theater.
Food & beverage
Limited concession items will be available for purchase.
Signage and floor markings will be utilized to support social distancing.
Please send one member of your party to the concession area at a time.
Surfaces will be sanitized.
Box office
The box office remains closed until further notice.
Online ticket purchases are encouraged – www.longpac.org
Walk-up ticket purchasing the night of the show will be allowed. Please note with limited seating capacity of 100, there is no guarantee tickets will be available.
Office staff will wear masks when guests are present.
Guests limited to one immediate group in the main office at a time.
All surfaces will be sanitized and cleaned frequently.
COVID-19 WARNING
We have taken these enhanced health and safety measures for you, our guests, members, volunteers, and staff. We ask that you follow all posted instructions.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By attending events at the Long Center and the Lafayette Theater, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
If you or any member of your party or family is not feeling well, do not visit. Plan to come when everyone is well.

The Long Center’s policies and procedures are guided by the following resources: Indiana Governor’s re-opening guidelines, Centers for Disease Control, Tippecanoe County, Indiana Tourism Association, and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters. New protocols will be added and updated frequently.
