Limited on-stage seating
Local boy returns home: Ross Martinie Eiler, a rock ‘n’ roll and boogie-woogie piano player with Martinie’s Boogie Three.
Ross E. Martinie Eiler, originally from Lafayette and now from Bloomington, is a hand-hammering, key-slamming, rock ‘n’ roll piano man. Eiler plays with Joe Donnelly on saxophone and John Valdez on drums in Martinie’s Boogie Three.
Martinie’s Boogie Three explores the rock ‘n’ roll side of blues and boogie-woogie of the 1950s. The audience will be seated on the historic Long Center stage to enjoy the high-energy sound in an intimate setting.
Martinie’s Boogie Three combines original works with crowd-pleasers by Louis Jordan, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Ray Charles and Jerry Lee Lewis. They describe their music as piano-crazed 1950s dance music.
Will 50s music make a comeback? “Don’t call it a comeback if it never left!” says Eiler.
The earliest rock ‘n’ roll featured the piano or saxophone as the lead instrument. Martinie’s Boogie Three delivers that magnificent original sound to audiences throughout Indiana.
